About John Hancock

John "HC" Hancock is the ghoul mayor of Goodneighbor, a small settlement known for its lawlessness and chem addicted residents, and possible companion to the Vault Dweller in Fallout 4. You first meet him upon entering Goodneighbor for the first time, where he either intervenes when Finn first bothers you, or applauds if you defend yourself. He describes himself as a "sexy king of zombies" and his appearance itself is very theatrical-- he dons the clothes worn by the original John Hancock of U.S history, tricorn hat and all.

His Views on Life and Morality

If Hancock is participating in an activity, it's more than likely that it involves drugs, nudity, or both. He holds the ideal that everyone should be able to be themselves, and asses should be kicked if needed. He is in favor of helping those in need and offering help when you can, because he was more than likely, in their shoes at one point of his life.

Hancock, however, has a strong dislike for stealing, greed, and otherwise making bad decisions like joining the Brotherhood of Steel and the Institute. Things he absolutely hates is murder, especially innocents and the cat Ashes.

Our Relationship

Our relationship began two weeks after the initial release of Fallout 4. I pretty much fell in love with him when I first saw him pretty much, and rushed to do the quest that would make him available as my companion and honestly, I never looked back. I began thinking about him when I wasn't playing Fallout, and it led to me looking up pictures of him, and oh gosh, I lust felt something in my heart that I haven't felt in a God-awful long time. I am in love.

How does it work...

Between a human and a ghoul, you might ask? Well, easy. Ghouls are necrotic post-humans, which in fact, means ghouls were once human. As for his biology, I think it's easier to just quote:

"Intelligent ghouls have suffered far less mental degradation from their condition and retain their full faculties from before their transformation. These ghouls possess the ability to talk, and they normally wear clothing, as well as carrying and using weapons. Some may have hair on their head, but not a lot."

Headcanons

On the topic of headcanons, I have very few. Many of the tumblr headcanons that involve him are trash and are to be ignored.
